I think the best demonstration of values is when there is a cost to living them. It is easy to be fair, just, honest, transparent when the going is good. But can you be fair, just, honest, transparent under pressure? Pressure brings out the true character of the individual. That is why I think courage is the most important value of all. Without courage it is virtually impossible to really live the other values – especially under pressure. This story told by Suresh is about the value of human dignity.
