Many years ago, an electric utility ran a simple experiment. It started telling households how their electricity use compared to…
Business storytelling is the deliberate use of true, fact-based stories to make a business message understood, remembered and acted upon. Unlike a story told among friends, it is anchored in context and data, and structured so that a leader can build rapport, influence decisions, make strategy stick, embed values or bring numbers to life – usually in under two minutes.
Leaders at every level, from first-time managers to CEOs; sales and account teams; presenters and public speakers; and functional teams from R&D to HR that need to communicate complex ideas. We work with companies of every size, from start-ups to Fortune 500 multinationals, across India and virtually anywhere.
Programmes are delivered as in-person workshops, virtual multi-session programmes (typically several two-hour sessions spread over two to three weeks with practice assignments and personal feedback in between), keynotes for large audiences, and one-to-one coaching for senior leaders. Every programme is customised to your challenges and delivered in your business vocabulary.
Programmes are led by StoryWorks founder Indranil Chakraborty (IC), author of the Penguin bestseller Stories at Work. Before founding StoryWorks in 2013, IC spent 21 years in senior roles at Unilever, the Tata Group and Mahindra & Mahindra, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer of Mahindra Holidays – so participants learn from someone who has used stories to run businesses, not just to teach.
Presentation courses focus on delivery: slides, voice and body language. StoryWorks focuses on the message itself – how to find, shape and tell a true story that lands your point and moves people to act. Participants leave with a step-by-step process and a personal story bank they can use in meetings, sales calls, town halls and presentations, not just on stage.
Schedule a call or e-mail ic@storyworks.in. We will discuss your challenges and the outcomes you need, propose a programme design built around deliberate practice, and then deliver it in person or virtually.
